The Widow’s Dream 1
This piece contains a film I made at the Bristol Aquarium. The fish are pacu, and a ripsaw catfish which are freshwater fish from the Amazon. The film runs on a security screen and a Raspberry Pi.
I am currently working on a similar project for b-side festival on Portland this September. This time it will be house sized! I am researching and filming native rays (also known as skate) once common in the seas around Portland, now critically endangered. The plan is to project my film onto the windows of a fisherman’s cottage, so, from outside, the house appears to be filled with seawater, wherein the balletic rays perform their ghostly dance.
